This video which is excellent for classroom presentation was the centerpiece of the censored prostitution video series'PORN 'IM 'AGE 'RY:Picturing Prostitutes, presented by Carol Jacobsen at the University of Michigan Law School-although there is no sexual imagery whatsoever. The video is very informal, though a profound and empowering collection of interviews with street workers in Detroit. "Street Sex" makes clear the need for reform and advocacy. This is one of our personal favorites. (54 minutes-1993)

Prostitutes teach safe sex within their community. Street workers discuss safe sex practices. This fast paced video is constructed as a safe sex promotional tool for prostitutes, encouraging safe sex as a safety issue. Highly charged, interesting portraits of prostitutes. Focuses on safe sex with clients rather than in personal relationships (which is the statistical locus of infection for the prostitute) but the video is very moving and compelling. The Center for Disease Control has found prostitute to client transmission of HIV statistically negligible. (16 minutes-1993)

VIOLENCE AGAINST PROSTITUTES:-$35.00
This video includes excerpts from a hearing at which over 40 San Francisco prostitutes, strippers and activists speak, addressing personal and political aspects of violence against prostitutes. The short testimonies are profoundly honest and moving. They represent an undigested account of the realities and issues in prostitutes' lives around violence as well as the stigma of victimization. The subtexts of the presentations are informed by analyses: prostitutes' rights and anti-prostitution discourse. The video contains the most honest and useful accounts produced on the subject of violence against prostitutes emphasizing incest and other child abuse, police abuse and misconduct, stigmatization and prostitutes' rights. STRIPPERS' RIGHTS COMPILATION -$35.00
This video includes material about organizing activities of the Exotic Dancer's Alliance in San Francisco, including raw footage from two demonstrations against the Mitchell Brothers as well as a 25 minute compilation of Vintage Stripper footage screened at the Stripper Sinema Show at the Roxie Cinema.
